our story

Artisan Baked Goods. Since 1999, we’ve been crafting gourmet treats in our small Midwestern bakehouse. Our staff of dedicated and talented bakers uses real butter, heavy whipping cream, fresh roasted nuts and select chocolates to create yummy treats. We make our goodies in small batches to give our baked goods a home-made taste. And yes, plenty of our recipes started in the kitchens of my grandmothers, both of whom are amazing bakers!

Indulge. We invite you to try our products. Our selection currently includes soft and chewy jumbo cookies, deeply fudgey brownies, delightful scones, moist, dense pound cake, butter-crunch topped coffee cake, delicious muffins, flavorful sweet breads, crunchy biscotti bites and Miss Fran's Shortbread. Our products are available in many fine cafes, gourmet food shops and specialty grocers in the Chicago area and around the country. In addition, our products can be purchased online, either packaged for gift or Plain Jane for snacking at home or office. Whether at your favorite coffeehouse, while relaxing at home or to send as a gift, we hope you enjoy eating and giving our treats as much as we enjoy making them!
