We’ve been in Evanston since 1999 and have been proud to support a variety of community organizations. In the last few years, we’ve focused our philanthropic efforts on two areas: community partners and disability inclusion. Recently, we've been learning more about food insecurity and our startling findings are making a big impact on how we want to approach our community outreach and social responsibility. We are now actively seeking out new community partners who share our passion for helping those in need in order to tackle food insecurity head-on. We may be one small company, but we know that by taking action one step at a time, one day at a time, we'll make real progress!
Northwestern University’s Dance Marathon
We’ve supported Northwestern University’s Dance Marathon for nearly 20 years by providing snack break cookies for the NU dancers. In 2022, we donated 2000 cookies to NU’s dancers! NUDM is a student run philanthropy that’s raised a total of over $22 million dollars for its beneficiaries since 1975. Each year there’s a new primary beneficiary and each year, the Evanston Community Foundation is NUDM’s secondary beneficiary. We’re proud to support NUDM and its amazing student philanthropists. Have Dreams
Have Dreams is an Evanston/Park Ridge autism resource agency. Since 2013, we have partnered with Have Dreams to support their workplace training program for young adults with autism. The program works to develop critical skills which allows these participants to be able to seek and secure competitive employment after completing their internships.
As the pandemic forced us to streamline our business, we only have one graduate of the Have Dreams Academy on staff at this time. However, as we are rebuilding and launching new products, we are looking to create opportunities to continue our work with Have Dreams Academy. To learn more about our workplace training program for young adults with autism, read this Chicago Tribune article. To learn more about their work supporting families and individuals with autism, visit the Have Dreams website.
